Glancing Backward

I'd forgotten how much I enjoy this piece. This was a collection I designed in my Fashion Sketching/Illustration class back in 2008. Sometimes there's a lot to be gained by looking at past work. I plan to do more fashion illustration in the near future.

Sweet Couple

...and as promised, here's the second piece I've been working on. This was a private commission done for a lovely Australian couple. I hope they'll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it for them!

Welcome, 2010!

Happy New Year, everyone! I had an excellent holiday season and I hope everyone else did, as well. I took a much-needed trip home to Tennessee, and now I'm ready to get back to the drawing board (literally). Here's my latest personal piece, which I'll be displaying in a frame I recently found at the amazing Paris on Ponce here in Atlanta. If you're a local or if you're passing through, this place is a must-visit! It's full of charming knick knacks, vintage decor, and Parisian-themed pieces.

I've got a couple of other pieces in the works which I'll share once they're complete (which will be very soon).

A quick update...

Just letting everyone know that I have new work that will appear in the December issues of Highlights for Children and Sparkle Magazine. Do have a look if you come across either one, as I'm very excited about these latest pieces. It was fantastic to work with both publications!

White Magazine and move to Atlanta

Hello, all! My apologies for the lack of updates, as I've spent the last week transitioning into a new location: Atlanta! I am now working by day as a creative designer and illustrator at a kids' and family marketing company. Of course, I will still be doing freelance work, maintaining my Etsy shop, and taking commissions. Above are three of my newer illustrations that were recently published in the Australian bridal publication, White. If you're down under, pick up a copy and have a look!

With Thanksgiving around the corner, I'd like to wish everyone a wonderful holiday season! Atlanta has been a big adjustment, but I've already met some wonderful people, especially my new co-workers. To all of you in Savannah, I miss you all very much!!
