Macarons

...so delicious, but so difficult to make!! Luckily, Crumb Bakery here in Atlanta makes some amazing ones, which inspired this image!

This is also my submission to Illustration Friday this week. I like to participate whenever possible, and I felt sweets easily fell into the subject of resolutions...as in, my New Year's resolution to eat healthier and be more active!

Illustration Friday 9/3/10: "Dessert"

Here's a piece that I did last summer, done in watercolor and ink. I hope to also create a brand new illustration for this week's topic! Happy Labor Day weekend, everyone!

Illustration Friday Topic: "Early"

....as in, the early bird gets the worm!

This a postcard design that I did a while back. I'm working on a couple of new sets of cards, so keep an eye out for them here and on my website!

Illustration Friday Topic: "Equipment"

So here's my entry for this week's Illustration Friday topic, "Equipment." I'd like to dedicate this one to my mother since Mother's Day was last weekend; she is a hairstylist, and these are her tools of the trade!

I created this piece using ink and digital media as a magazine spot illustration a year ago.

Illustration Friday Topic: "Linked"

For several years, I've enjoyed looking at each week's topics and artwork on Illustration Friday (www.illustrationfriday.com). This week, I felt the theme was very appropriately related to a favorite piece of mine, "Love is in the Air." The beautiful Spring weather outside also reminds me of this illustration!
