These little bird postcards (just in time for summer!) are my latest endeavor. I'm really excited about them! I'll be selling them in the shop soon; they'll each measure 4 x 6 and will be formatted as traditional postcards for mailing. Hooray!

SCAD 2009 Fashion Show

I'd like to congratulate all the students whose work was showcased in this year's SCAD Fashion Show! I was honored to work on the show yesterday, along with my co-workers. I must say, I think the show was a huge success. All the garments and accessories looked spectacular, and the opening dance routine was stunning. I think that Ruben and Isabel Toledo were very deserving of the Andre Leon Talley Lifetime Achievement award; their story was both touching and inspiring.

New work unveiled!

Here's what I've been working on the past few weeks...these are three of the illustrations I have done as an approach to the editorial market (specifically, magazines for teenage girls). Despite the leaps and bounds I've taken stylistically by doing these, I'm very pleased with them!

Lil' Spot Illustration

Here is a little spot illustration that I took out of my overall greeting card designs (which are very nearly finished!). I'm trying to decide what to do with these little vignettes, other than adding them to my portfolio. Enjoy!

Paper dolls/Smooth Show recap

Here's a rather brief look at a new promotional piece I'm doing, which will be a seasonal series of paper dolls that I will be e-mailing out to clients and contacts. Maybe you'll get one?

In other news, the reception for my show at Cafe Smooth was a great success on Friday night! Again, I want to extend a special thanks to Susan Jaffie for making it possible!! Also, many, many, thanks to EVERYONE who came out to the event!! I was so happy to see such a big turnout. The art will be hanging through June 1st.
